Welcome to Dancing Ewe Yarns & Teas

Dear Cathy,

It's Time To Celebrate Spring.  We at the Dancing Ewe are hard at work creating new samples to inspire your creativity.  And the fibers we are using are so lovely we are sure you will be as excited as we are when you see and feel them.

yarn
Our featured yarns include:  O-Balance by Vermont Organic Fibers, Purelife and Summer Tweed by Rowan, Venezia by Cascade and our Brand New Favorite, Manos del Uruguay Silk Wool Blend.

O-Balance is a Certified Organic Cotton & Wool Blend.  We have featured a pattern from O-Wool using this yarn.

Purelife
Purelife is also a Certified Organic 100% Cotton yarn which uses only natural plant dyes.  This lovely, soft yarn is eco-friendly, fair trade and sustainably produced.  Our sample is knit using Cabin Fever's Buttons Cardigan.

Summer Tweed
Combining the luxury of Silk (70%) and the durability of cotton (30%) this is the perfect all year yarn.  We recommend you touch as well as look to discover the beauty of Summer Tweed.  We are working on a simple, easy tank top with this special yarn.

Venezia
Venezia is 70% Merino and 30% Silk which is so soft and drapey you will love touching it.  The sweater we knit using this fiber is stunning.  The pattern is from Knitting Pure & Simple.

And Finally, the Amazing New Yarn from Manos del Uruguay, Silk (30%) Merino Wool (70%) is so beautiful you will want to make your favorite scarf or shawl  to enjoy the luxury.  Our pattern choice is Clapotis by Kate Gilbert from Knitty.com. This sample was knit by Alana, a friend of mine in California.
